Description

Iman Das is considered to one of the finest exponents of Patiala Gharana of the present generation. A rare blend of talent & riyaaz, Iman is equally sublime in kheyal & lighter genres such as thumris,bhajans etc. A voice containing 3 & half octaves, Iman at 30 is conquering the world with his awe inspiring Raagsangeet presentations & the rarest of gifts for today's classical connaisseurs, punjabi angthumris,considered to be the forte of his gharana. A firm believer in Divine & destiny, Iman believes Indian classical music is the highest form of art & is synonymous to meditation.
He has learnt from maestro Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty of Patiala gharana
and Shri Shantanu Bhattacharyya of the same gharana.
Iman is currently under tutelage of Pandit Kalyan Basu,
a direct disciple of Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan Saheb.
 
 
Carlo Strazzante plays oriental and Indian percussion. He has studied over the last fifteen years with renowned musicians, amongst whom master Madjid Khaladj, Prabhu Edouard and Shahbaz Hussain Khan. He has performed in Europe and Asia.
