| Santoor master Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya has been an ambassador of Indian classical music for 30 years now. He played at top world concerts in the Royal Albert Hall, the Kremlin, the Jubilee Auditorium (Canada) etc., for a long list of personalities including Prince Charles and George Harrison. Pandit Bhattacharya has released over 60 CDs and had a Grammy nomination in 1997. His CD “Kirwani” has been acclaimed as belonging to the top 10 in the world. Tabla master Sandip Bhattacharya is a brilliant and versatile tabla player who skillfully combines traditional techniques and spontaneous creativity. He is one of the best tabla players of the younger generation today. His style is a beautiful blend of two important gharanas "Benaras" and "Farukhabad/Ajrara". Sandip has performed and recorded with many top masters of Indian classical music, such as Hariprasad Chaurasia, V.G.Jog, Lakshmi Shankar, Tarun Bhattacharya. |
