The inspiration for this concert stems from shared experiences in a
house in the Latin Quarter of Paris. The home of Jacqueline and José
Pons became a refuge for great Argentine artists who, due to exile and
the search for new horizons, were welcomed with the fraternal embrace of
this couple who transformed their dwelling into an artistic embassy in
difficult times.
Transformative figures such as Astor Piazzolla, Horacio Guaraní,
Mercedes Sosa, Atahualpa Yupanqui, María Elena Walsh, Horacio Ferrer,
and many other prominent personalities of Argentine culture passed
through its doors, forming this Consulate of Friendship.

Home, homeland, childhood, friendship, resilience, solidarity, and the
triumph of the embrace will resonate in every piece of this concert.
