Event
DescriptionThree multi-instrumentalist musicians captivated by rich and varied sounds. Insatiable, they criss-cross tirelessly the remotest regions of Latin America on the hunt for musical instruments of all kinds. They share the daily life of indigenous artists and learn about their traditions. TriOrganico showcases instruments that have seen little or no change over time and whose sounds and melodies contrast with synthesized music for which musicians are sometimes no longer needed. All kinds of music, whether simple or complex, can be performed with instruments of minimalist construction; in contrast to compositions that employ advanced technology but that sometimes disguises music lacking in imagination. The original compositions of the TriOrganico are, for the most part, festive and executed with stringed instruments, woodwinds, percussion including the marimba, sometimes accompanied by songs and zapateo rythms (percussion produced with the feet). The musicians Osvaldo Hernandez Napoles (composer) instruments : stringed, wind, percussion and singing Juan-Carlos Bonifaz: Marimba, percussion instruments Patricia Hernandez Van Cauwenberge: percussion instruments, wind instruments and dance.
