Description
Entretango Quintet is an ensemble created by musicians with a strong academic
background and distinguished career, recognized by national and international agencies
and dates from 2003, have been presented at renowned festivals and various forums. In
the National Arts Center Blas Galindo Auditorium, Palacio de Bellas Artes Hall, Carlos
Chavez and M. Covarrubias University Cultural Center, in Mexico city, Melchor Ocampo
Theatre in Morelia, City Theatre of Puebla in Mihail Glinka Conservatory in Novosibirsk,
Russia and Granit Theatre of Belfort, France, amongothers. They have also given concerts for Mexican Radio and Television Broadcasters.In March 2011, Entretango won first place in the International Contest IV Libertango, heldin Barnaul, Russia. They gave a series of concerts in cities like Tomsk, Kemerovo and Novosibirsk, as part of the VII International Festival Astor Piazzolla. Currently the Entetango Quintet is dedicated to the reissue of former Mexican tangos, and amalgamates tango with one of the quintessential genres of Mexican music: bolero.
In 2012 they performed at the Theatre of the National Arts Center in Mexico City,
presenting they first album: 'Chau Paris', dedicated to the memory of Astor Piazzolla.
