Event
DescriptionFabrice De Graef presents his very special duet of the Bansuri flute from the North Indian Hindustani tradition and the Ghatam percussion instrument from the Carnatic musical tradition of the South of India.
The combination was originally an idea of the famous Indian violinist L. Subramaniam.
Both instruments belong to the oldest in the world. It is the mixture of bamboo and baked earth (terra cotta) that brings the music back to the basics and makes it touch the public straight in the heart.
The simplicity of the instruments combines splendidly with the complexity of Indian music, and the public is certain to be carried away by it.
