DescriptionAs a child, Federico Ordoñez took intense classes with Antonio Martinez, who quickly took him on board in his own dancing company, taking him along to performances at home and abroad. Federico however quickly went his own way, to play an important role in flamenco shows such as “Juana La Loca” by and with Michel Gillain. Meanwhile, he has also performed in BOZAR (Centre of Fine Arts in Brussels) and in FLAGEY. The unique thing about Federico Ordoñez is his charisma on stage. And knowing how to pass on an emotional message from the artist to his audience, is without a doubt the key factor of flamenco! Reason enough to meet this extraordinary flamenco dancer. Federico Ordoñez is undoubtedly the biggest flamenco dancing talent of the last few years. José Ligero from Triana in Sevilla is a well-known cantaor since many years who excels in Cante Jondo. He sings palos as siguiriyas or fandango libre as well as more popular styles as bulerias or rumbas. Alexander Gavilán studied Flamenco guitar at Codarts Rotterdam with Paco Peña, Ricardo Mendeville and Hans van Goch. In Seville, he took classes with Niño de Pura, M.A. Cortes and J.L. Postigo. he also attended master classes with Manolo Franco, Tomatito, Paco Serrano, Moraíto, Alfredo Lagos, Chicuelo and Diego de Morao. In 2007 he produced the show "Pastora", a tribute to the singer Niña de los Peines (Zuiderpershuis Antwerp) and in 2008 "12 Tiempos de Amor" for OdeGand, Festival of Flanders. Since 2005 he combines his performances with an appointment as a lecturer in Flamenco guitar at Codarts Rotterdam. His latest projects are "The Alegrias y Soledad" (2010) and "Zarzamora" (2011) with the "Cuadro Flamenco Irene Alvarez". http://www.la-barraca.be/index.htm EventList powered by schlu.net |
