DescriptionThe Belle Epoque symbolizes the period of peace between the end of 19th century and WWI mostly in France, Belgium and Germany.
Being a time of social, economic and political progress, the Belle Epoque was at the origine of a very active musical development and artistic creativity in general. The bourgeoisie of this time lived in private mansions in capital cities or at the sea shore and organized numerous receptions and parties, often with music. With it's concert program Tetracelli wants us to discover this so-called 'salon' music full of charm and emotion. Through this music tha combines grace and virtuosi playing, the full charm of this period's bourgeoisie comes alive. Politeness, elegance and and appearance are combined to acquire a very raffinated music. Tetracelli's program makes us travel to France( Offenbach), Germany( Goltermann), Austria( Popper) and Belgium( Paque) to show common esthetic characteristics and differences in this musical style.
