OSUNA- Musical Silk Route

Description

Osuna is a music project that mixes Anatolian South Siberian strings and
Western strings from forlorn times. A sound carpet of Turkish string
instruments ( saz, tanbur) is combined with Siberian harps( khakas
chatkhan) and Middle Age European string instruments. Together this gives
a hybrid musical silk route.
On this route, Osuna will guide you along surprising detours, with
asymmetrical Balkan rhythms, Tuva throat singing, Turkish minstrels,
Central-Asian epics and Middle Age ballads.
The group not only chooses pure traditional arrangements but it is also
very surprising with its numerous improvisations that will make you dream
away.

EMRE GÜLTEKIN: Turkish strings –saz & tanbur, voice
THOMAS BAETÉ: medieval fiddles, Viola da gamba, voice
RAPHAËL DE COCK: south-Siberian harp-zither chatkhan, shrutibox,
overtone-harmonic throat song, voice, Jew’s harps, kavals
