Lilia Salsano is an Argentine pianist whose career has become firmly
established on the international stage thanks to her personal, vibrant,
and expressive style. Acclaimed by critics for her virtuosity and
sensitivity, she was praised by the Boston University Daily as “a
pianist whose passion suggests that her true calling lies in
interpreting the great Romantic masterpieces, while maintaining a
precision and discipline rarely matched in the pursuit of
expressiveness.” The Argentine Association of Music Critics, meanwhile,
described her as “a highly sensitive performer capable of capturing
Guastavino’s message like no other pianist.”

With a passionate commitment to promoting Argentine and Latin American
music, Salsano became the first pianist in her country to record the
complete piano works of Carlos Guastavino and Virtú Maragno, milestones
that have established her as a leading interpreter of this repertoire.
Her discography, released by labels such as Waves Affaire (Austria) and
Shagrada Medra (Argentina), reflects a constant search for new
sonorities and expressive pathways.

She has performed at prestigious festivals and concert halls throughout
the Americas, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe,
including the Martha Argerich Festival in Buenos Aires, the Echoes
Festival of Classical Latin Music in London, and the SONUS International
Music Festival in the United States. She also participated in
celebrations such as the Piazzolla 100 Festival for four pianos at the
CCK. As a soloist, she has appeared with the Teatro Colón Philharmonic
Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra of Argentina, and the Juan de
Dios Filiberto National Orchestra of Argentine Music. She currently
serves as principal pianist of the Santa Fe Provincial Symphony
Orchestra in Argentina.

Her creative spirit has led her to develop distinctive artistic
projects, including Anglo-Tango, an audiovisual recital featuring tangos
composed by twentieth-century British composers, commissioned by the
ILAMS association in the United Kingdom; and Esencia Guastavino: tu
corazón, su casa (Guastavino Essence: Your Heart, His Home), created in
collaboration with playwright Pablo Tibalt, which combines music and
theater in a tribute to the life of the celebrated composer.

Through her Guastavino Argentina Tour, she performed in 19 provinces
across her country. Its success inspired the Guastavino Latin America
Tour, with performances in Ecuador, Colombia, and Brazil, followed by
the Guastavino Spain Tour, which included concerts in Barcelona, Madrid,
Tarragona, and León.

With a distinguished career and a style defined by passion, poetry, and
authenticity, Lilia Salsano has established herself as one of the most
outstanding pianists of her generation and of today, bringing the
richness of the Latin American repertoire to concert stages around the
world.
