The guitarist ULISSES ROCHA and percussionist Renato Martins played together for the first time during the recording of Ulisses` 6th CD called "Album". Since then, they have been performing concerts in Brazil and abroad. The repertoire includes original compositions, rock and Brazilian music classics performed with great personality and virtuosity. Guitarist, composer and arranger with 11 CDs recorded, Ulisses Rocha is one of the most influential musician of his generation. Owner of a distinctive style, Rocha moves between the worlds of Brazilian music, classical music and jazz. He is primarily known for his versatility, evidenced in the performances as a soloist, in small formations as duos or trios, or beside the main symphony orchestras in the country. Together with Geraissati, Guinga, Paulo Belinnati and Marco Pereira, Ulisses Rocha is considered one of the best Brazilian guitarists/ guitarist-composers of the last 20 years. Multi instrumentalist and composer RENATO MARTINS, was born in Rio and brought up in São Paulo, Brazil. He started to play percussion and piano when he was four years old .He has created new techniques for traditional instruments; for example, the udu drum and the cajon.
