Rishab Prasanna is one of India’s premier young flute players, son and
disciple of the legendary Pt. Rajendra Prasanna. He has received the
Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Sangeet Natak Akademi Award and the french
title of 'Ambassador of the City of Toulouse' from France.
Living between two cultures, Rishab blends India’s classical heritage
with global influences. A world-class musician, he excels in
transcultural collaboration.
He has performed at prestigious venues like the Philharmonie de Paris,
Sydney Opera House, WOMAD Festivals, and the 75th Anniversary of UNESCO
in Paris, Fes Festival, Philharmonie of Hamburg and among others. His
international performances at renowned venues and festivals across
Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand are highly
appreciated.
In 2016, Rishab contributed to the soundtrack of Le Sens de la fête, a
successful French film, and was also featured in award winning film Le
Monsieur.
An All India Radio Grade A Artist, SANDIP BANERJEE is playing tabla
since 1973. He is well known for his graceful accompaniment and powerful
adept solo performance. He is an enlisted artist in ICCR( Indian Council
for Cultural Relation) in professional category and SPIC MACAY. He has
several CDs with different artists in India and abroad. His book on
learning Tabla titled ‘Le Tabla’ has been published from ID Music,
France. This book is also available in English now. A rare combination
of talent, dedication and good sensibilities have brought Sandip to the
top of his art. Lovers of Indian Classical music around the world will
continue to be enthralled by this first class mature and powerful
performing artist now and in the years to come.
