Klezmer and Sevdalinka: Influences and confluence

Altland proposes a repertoire anchored in traditional Jewish music. Klezmer grew out of ancient liturgical melodies from thousands of years of history in the Near East and from the influence of rhythms and music of Central Europe.
Sevdalinka is a traditional music genre from Bosnia-Herzegovina, where Slavic and oriental cultures come together.

Klezmer and Sevdalinka: Two traditions, two genres with a neighbouring sound. Altland weaves a bridge between them.
