ACHA is a trio of musicians from different origins who perform in a professional and playful way music from a variety of backgrounds. Influences from Turkish, Spanish, Indian and western music are knitted together into a very solid and characteristic own sound. ACHA's compositions are well built and full of virtuoso instrumental introductions and impressive singing, with soulful improvisations and subtle ornaments. This doesn't surprise for ACHA's members are all very strong musicians. The Turkish-Kurdish singer and saz player Tanar Catalpinar is well known as the former singer/front man of 'Eats meets West' and the Belgian group 'TAN'. He enjoys the company of the Turkish maestro and multi-instrumentalist Nahim Avci, and a convincing Spanish touch is given to the group by the experienced flamenco-guitarist Benito Ouwendijk,
