With this new trio Manuel Hermia takes us into a jazzy world rooted in tradition and at the same time open to all influences, music both modern and risk-loving, but still accessible. Some of its compositions are based on research in harmony and on a mixture of colors that gives them a unique character, other compositions flirt with the edges of jazz, with a range of emotions going from the sweetest and deepest and craziest to the most raging. This is a modern trio that loves the groove as well as melodies and that strives to honor jazz, the music that is called libertarian. The group has recorded an album, due out first in Belgium, fall 2010, then in France and abroad in the course of 2011.
