Argentine guitar player, singer, and songwriter, after being a member of various formations and varied musical tendencies, Neri turns his experience into his country's popular music. He connects with the song through his work as arranger of his and other Argentine artists' works. He is also a voice and guitar teacher at many educational institutes and schools. He was the guitar player of the renowned “Dúo Salteño”, a project that took him onto various national and international stages. From his relation with the Dúo Salteño many research and composition works came about, some of which included Chacho Echenique and Teresa Parodi. As a cultural entrepreneur he created, in the city of Rosario, El Aserradero (the sawmill), an emerging and living scenario ever since 2001. At the same time, he has been one of the mentors and an active member of what today is the organizing board of "Encuentro Nacional de Músicos" (National meeting of musicians) In 2016, together with Leopoldo “Teuco” Castilla he finished the original music for the record of poems “Manada”. After this, Martín Neri presented “Matriz Del Agua” (Water cast), a conceptual work that consists of ten songs, inspired by a close encounter and sharing with a family of fisher folk in a place called “La Boca de la Milonga” (The Milonga Mouth), a small island located in a Parana river branch. In its 10 songs, Matriz del Agua expresses the living scenario of this family living. From Martin's bond with the fisherman Manuel, his wife, Elba, and their six-year-old daughter, Rocío, his ten songs are born, with the purpose to narrate those days that took place in “La Boca de la Milonga”, one of the countless branches upon which come to flow into the Parana, where this family has been living for twenty years.
