In the history of human resistance, music has been always whispering in the face of the war's chaos. The ‘Oud Whispers’ concert presents original compositions by the Syrian Oud virtuoso Mohannad Nasser. Mohanned Nasser’s compositions are inspired by strong Arabic and Middle Eastern roots, and a unique mix of microtonal melodies and peculiar rhythms, which merge together with Jazz, Brazilian music and more flavors and contemporary touches which lead the Oud into new territory. These compositions reflect the composer's journey through Syria/Lebanon/Spain. The journey started when Mohannad left Syria in 2015 looking for a safe spot to compose and perform, and it ended in 2018 at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Spain where Mohannad achieved a master degree in "Contemporary Performance".
