ASAD QIZILBASH, CARLO STRAZZANTE, SIMON LELEUX- INDIA SAROD CONCERT

Description

ASAD QIZILBASH is the only recognized maestro in Pakistan on the sarode, the Indian fretless lute. He started playing the violin at the age of eight, and changed to the sarode as soon as he discovered this instrument. He has performed on many festivals in Pakistan and abroad, and has given numerous concerts on TV, radio and much more. He is a spiritual son of Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, to whom he owes much inspiration for his musical style.
CARLO STRAZZANTE plays Indian and other percussion instruments for many years and toured on the Asian continent regularly, in India and Pakistan, and even Uzbekistan. At this concert he will be playing a mixture of the Indian tabla and the African udu, a terra cotta base percussion from Niger.
