Our journey starts from the west of Crete, at Kissamos, to meet the whistling Tzegkas.
We then climb up to the White Mountains of Chania, where we hear the proud songs of the Rizitika, just to look down to the plateau of Apokoronas, and the brilliant colours and sounds of Harilaos and Plakianos.
The journey continues to the east, again high, to the cave of Jeus,
to Giouthas and Psiloritis, still vibrating with the voice of Psaronikos and
the musical genius of K.Mountakis.
The last stop is the Byzantine sound of Kritsa and the villages of Agios Nikolaos,
just to end a bit further east, to the erotic poetry of Erotokritos of Vintzenzos Kornaros.
Tonights journey also give space and time to more contemporary compositions of the last years on the island of Crete.
Smooth and soft sounds, rich and wild, but also welcoming and alive.
Sounds that compel us to share them with you.
