DescriptionSepteto Camaleón is an ensemble that was formed in the beginning of 2016 by an international group of tango students. These young artists are all studying or have studied at the world music department of the conservatory of Rotterdam, Codarts. The name of the ensemble, translated ‘chameleon’, originates from the choice of self-arranged repertoire in which the many different styles of the Argentinian tango are included. Such as the romantic tango style of ‘’los Astros del tango’’, or the more modern one of Astor Piazzolla. This septet has a unique line-up where the strings and bandoneon take you to the melancholic side of the tango, whereas the double bass and the piano bring you in touch with the energetic rhythms of this Argentinian music. With Gustavo Cabrera (Argentina), Radboud Post (Netherlands) and Nea-Maria Korpelainen (Finland) on violin, Elena Kopteva (Russia) on cello, Alexander Vocking (Netherlands) on double bass, Kaspar Uljas (Estonia) on bandoneon and Robin El-Hage (Netherlands) on piano. The listener’s heart is rejoiced by the warm sounds of Argentina that Septeto Camaleón carries to the stage. EventList powered by schlu.net |
