Tango is the Argentina’s most famous music wich originated along the Rio de la Plata, the natural border between Argentina and Uruguay. Soon it spread to the rest of the world, thanks to the popularity of the tango dance.
But if we look at it chronologically, the process of formation of traditional music is much more complex and extensive, starting at the time of colonization.
The tango history starts later, with the European immigration that arrived in
Buenos Aires at the beginning of the 20th Century.
The repertoire of tonight’s concert includes tango songs and folklore dances,
arranged for guitar duo and/or solo.
