DescriptionOur inaugural two-day festival from July 9th-10th will focus on pieces written during the first world war in addition to pieces by contemporary Belgian composers: a then and now perspective.
This festival will serve as the launching point for a new concert series, 'Music of Changes,' the name of which comes from John Cage’s famous piano work. It encompasses our philosophy of a series that is ever-evolving featuring programs that juxtapose the familiar with the unfamiliar, the traditional with the cutting edge. The two programs will include works by Lili Boulanger, Frank Bridge, William Denis Browne, Claude Debussy, Charles Ives, Claude Ledoux, Annelies Van Parys, Maurice Ravel, Frederic Rzewski, and Arnold Schoenberg.
