The Ghost Notes is a Gypsy Jazz band formed in Greece in 2012 by guitarist
Jim Politis. They play Gypsy Jazz tunes, Django Reinhardt pieces, and
original compositions that present a modern approach to Gypsy Jazz. he
Ghost Notes' debut album ''Jazzy-Key'' was released in April 2013 and
includes original Gypsy Jazz compositions and Django Reinhardt covers.
Following the release of their first album, and numerous concerts in
Greece, the band had their first European tour in May 2013, playing live
in Greece, Italy, Czech Republic, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands and the
UK.Their Second European Tour took place in May/June 2014 and included 16
concerts in 8 countries (Greece, Italy, Croatia, Hungary, Czech Republic,
Belgium, Netherlands, UK). uring their second European tour, they filmed
two live performances at Acapela Studio in Cardiff. hey have performed
live at the European Music Day Festival in Greece (2013), Athens
Djangofest Festival (2013), Patras International Festival/Djangofest
(2014), Thessaloniki Djangofest Festival (2014), and have been featured in
the 2013 summer issue of ''B.M.G Magazine'' – the oldest fretted
instrument publication in the world, founded in England in 1903.
