Dedicated to the investigation, composition and interpretation of brazilian popular music, Beto Caletti has performed on stages in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, Spain, Switzerland, Cuba and Japan with his samba, choro and bossa nova repertoire. He has published two books, six CDs and a DVD with editions in Argentina, Mexico and Japan. The CD "Esquinas" was chosen as one of the top ten brazilian CDs in Japan, in 2005, "Disco de ouro da música popular brasileira 2005". He has won the “ACE Award” and was nominated for the “Gardel Award”. He is sponsored by the “Dirección de Asuntos Culturales de la Cancillería Argentina” and the Brazilian Embassy. Beto Caletti performs Brazilian popular music presenting a carefully chosen repertoire which ranges from traditional samba and chorinho to bossa nova and samba funk.. His repertoire includes his own original compositions as well as songs from Brazilian composers of all times. He plays as a soloist and with his own trio.
