The very first origins of duo Kalliope reach back to 2008 when Alja Petric and Tina Čeh met for the first time at the Music Conservatory Klagenfurt (Austria). They shared the same thoughts about music and life, and felt even stronger affection towards each other when they discovered that they grew up on the same part of Slovenia -
by the melancholic River Mura valley. Soon they went their separate ways and met again in 2013 at the Etno HISTeRIA Festival, where the idea for the duo was born. Because of different musical backgrounds,
they inspire each other to even greater creativity.
Both members of Kalliope - mostly with their own musical
compositions - intimately present their view of the world with subtle vocal and instrumental performances.
