Michalis Kouloumis, one of the most prominent violinists in the Middle East music, will be teaching Workshop on ‘’Makam music, Improvisation and Violin Techniques’’ in Belgium, as part of his European mini tour ‘’Soil’’.
Focusing on:
•    Turkish Makam theory ( 3 basic makams with examples from Ottoman classical and Greek/Turkish traditional music repertoire)
•    Taksim / Rhythmical Improvisation (analysis, ornaments, phrasing development, intervals, tetrachords, structure, motifs)
Michalis Kouloumis’ debut album ‘’Soil’’ will be available at the price of 12 euro.
