Diminuita Swing Trio started in 2007 and is part of the orchestral gypsy swing scene going back to the pioneers of the Hot Club. They play their own versions of Reinhardt’s and Grappelli’s tunes, as well as of other composers’ of that era.
They also present their first CD "A-rhythmology", released in May 2011,
and new compositions to be released before end 2013.
Diminuita has presented its music in many Greek venues and festivals. Since 2010 they also play abroad in Belgium, Netherlands, UK, Poland, France, Germany.
Diminuita Swing can be recognized by a clear, natural acoustic sound, free musical expression, bebop references, imaginative melodies and refreshing rhythm maneuvers.
