Dolores Sanjuan was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
She is a singer of traditional Mexican music and gives new attention to songs and melodies from Jalisco
that are not known by the large public.
She prefers to interpret this music with Mexico's own traditional instruments, such as the vihuela and jarana( Mexican string instruments), accordion, violins, and different wind instruments.
Next to the traditional Mexican music Dolores Sanjuan also sings 'trova' and songs composed by members of her family about migration, nostalgia, longing, etc.
Dolores Sanjuan published a CD in 2008, called 'La Cañada árbol de cantos y voces'.
