Supratik Sengupta stood first in many prestigious music competitions. He was conferred The Best Instrumentalist Prize from " The DoverLane Music Conference", the Prasun Banerjee Memorial Award and Pandit Gokul Nag Memorial Award from " The Salt Lake Music Festival". Supratik also proved himself as the National Scholar of CCRT ( Center For Cultural Resources & Training) of New Delhi. He was also the holder of National Scholarship of the Ministry of Tourism & Culture, India. Supratik is a musician-scholar of the ITC Sangeet Research Academy, and he has toured Europe before, especially France and Germany. He is a A-grade artist of the All India Radio, Kolkata.
Tapan Bhattacharya is a leading international artist, with more than 25 years of experience.
He was born in the sacred city of Benares(at the Ganga river side), where he began his education in tabla under the brilliant guidance of the prestigious tabla Masters Late Pandit Kaviraj Ashutosh Bhattacharya, a close disciple of the world famous tabla player,
Late Pandit Kanthe Maharaj from the Benares Gharana.
He settled in Spain since 1990, and opened a school of Indian Classical Music there,
called Tapan Musical Center.
He is the main responsible figure in the presentation of Indian Classical Music and Dance in Spain. He invites musicians and dancers from India to perform the Indian Classical Styles.
His clarity, vitality and elegant performance are much appreciated, as is his spirituality and deep technical knowledge.
