PARTHA BOSE & ARUP SENGUPTA- Indian Sitar & Tabla

Description

A widely acknowledged classical musician of the north Indian genre, Partha
Bose has an uncanny ability to communicate with listeners world-wide through
his sitar. Partha Bose has an evolving style that blends tradition with
imagination. He touches the inner depths of a raga( melodic scale) and
tala( rhythmic cycle) by fascinating improvisations. Partha Bose has given
strong performances in major music festivals in India and abroad, as well as
workshops and lecture-demonstrations for reputed universities for more than
twenty years now. Thus he has contributed substantially to the rising graph
of Indian culture and music in the global arena. Partha Bose visualizes
music as a universal language which reminds us of our shared humanity.
ARUP Sen Gupta doesn't need any introduction to Hindustani music lovers in
Europe as he regularly performs with renowned Hindustani Musicians
throughout Europe, India and the Us. Arup is considered to be one of the
most sought after Tabla accompanists in Europe. He studied Tabla with Tabla
exponent Pandit Subhen Chatterjee from Kolkata (India) as well as with
Subhenji's own Guru, the renowned and legendary Tabla Master Pandit Swapan
Chaudhuri, who is considered to be one of the world top most Tabla players.
