GIOUF TRIO, two guitars, voices, and a double bass, presents
traditional city music of the Greek past in today's cities.

For its sound GIOUF is inspired by the aesthetics of two solo guitars in dialogue.
This feature first appeared in the early 1930s in the time of
Rebetiko song recordings, shaping a style that corresponds
historically and socially to western swing and blues music.

'GIOUF' is an artistic offspring of the contemporary Greek city,
incorporating its particular idiomatic musical experience.
