DescriptionKarim Baggili, Belgian, of Jordanian - Yugoslavian origin, was born in 1976.
He is a young self-taught guitarist, ud player and composer. Starting with the electric guitar at the age of 16, his performance continued to develop while working with different techniques of flamenco guitar and the Arabian Oud which he acquired from Jordan. 'Technically Baggili is what one would call a virtuoso. He masters speed, precision, clear sound and excellent phrasing. But in the world of music, virtuosi abound. What distinguishes Baggili is the originality of his sound, the freshness of his compositions, the harmonies mainly. The Oriental touch is present, very subtle but definitely present.' Osvaldo Hernandez Napoles is a Mexican musician who has lived in Belgium for more than 20 years. After playing and recording with different multicultural groups in a number of countries, Osvaldo composed original works for his album "Tierra", where poetry intertwines with melodies that are served by a range of instruments from diverse indigenous and Afro-Latin American traditions, blended with Arabo-Andalucian and Armenian tones. http://www.osvaldoelmusico.com/ EventList powered by schlu.net |
