Instruments: Handpan, sitar, didgeridoo & percussions

Un voyage musical sans frontières, à la rencontre du handpan, du sitar
et du didgeridoo.
Gérard Spencer et Joachim Lacrosse réunissent sur scène trois
instruments venus d’univers très différents : les sonorités cristallines
du handpan, les longues résonances du sitar indien et les vibrations
profondes du didgeridoo.

Avec Le Tour du Monde en 80 Sons, le duo construit sa propre musique
entre world music, fusion et transe acoustique. Les mélodies aériennes
et hypnotiques côtoient des passages plus rythmiques et groovy, enrichis
de percussions et d’instruments aux sonorités parfois inattendues.
Plus qu’une juxtaposition d’instruments du monde, c’est une véritable
rencontre musicale : deux musiciens qui font dialoguer leurs influences
et jouent avec les contrastes, entre douceur et énergie, improvisation
et compositions.

from very different musical worlds: the crystalline sound of the
handpan, the rich resonance of the Indian sitar and the deep vibrations
of the didgeridoo.

With Around the World in 80 Sounds, the duo creates its own musical
language somewhere between world music, fusion and acoustic trance.
Airy, hypnotic melodies meet groovy rhythms, percussion and a collection
of unusual sounds and textures.

Rather than simply placing instruments from different cultures side by
side, the project is built around a genuine musical dialogue between two
musicians, moving naturally between intimacy and energy, improvisation
and composition.
