MIGUEL CANTILO started his career at the mid sixties when he first performed as a singer in his older brother's group. At seventeen years old he featured his own act, the duet "Pedro y Pablo" in which he was lead vocal and composer under the name "Pedro", this was his first massive succes. At twenty two he retakes his solist career more professionally. Between 1975 and 1980 he was absent from his country because of the dictatorship and stopped his recording career, but not his performances. He's been leaving and working in Colombia for one and half year and in Spain between 1977 and 1980. Back in his country Miguel Cantilo received three important awards: Premio Prensario, S.A.D.A.I.C. Price (of the Authors and Composer's Society) and the Konex Price. He won a few golden records and one double platinum record, being a one million copy sales artist all over his career. His last cd “De amores y pasiones” mixes the tango roots and rock with a very peculiar band formed by his sons Demián, Anael and Sufián and as guests in the album, a few of the best argentine musicians.
