MANISH PINGLE: SLIDE GUITARIST

Manish Pingle was introduced to Indian classical music by his parents. He started his initial training in Indian slide guitar from Late Shri Vishnu Walivadekar of Indore. He is one of the senior disciples of the Legendary Sitar player, Ustad Shahid Parvez of Itawa Gharana.
Today, Manish is amongst the few leading Indian slide guitar players of India. He has performed in major music festivals in India, and also showcased his talent worldwide. He has performed in countries like Spain, Sweden, Italy, Portugal, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, France, Estonia, Germany, China,
Japan, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, UK, Belgium and Switzerland.

SANDIP BANERJEE---- TABLA ARTIST

An All India Radio Grade A Artist, Sandip Banerjee is playing tabla since 1973.  He is well known for his graceful accompaniment and powerful adept solo performance. Besides his frequent trips to abroad, to perform, lecture and conduct workshops he is a regular T.V. and Radio artist in India.  Sandip was awarded ‘National Scholarship’ from the Government of India in 1992. He is an enlisted artist in ICCR( Indian Council for Cultural Relation) in professional category and SPIC MACAY.  He has several CDs with different artists in India and abroad.   His book with Daniel Schell on learning Tabla titled ‘Le Tabla’ has been published from ID Music, France. This book is  also available in English,French language now from Clic Music, Brussels, Belgium. He has learned tabla from Late Pandit Kanai Dutta, Pandit Sanjoy Mukherjee(over 20 years) and pandit Sankha Chatterjee. A rare combination of talent, dedication and good sensibilities have brought Sandip to the top of his art.  Lovers of Indian Classical music around the world will continue to be enthralled by this first class mature and powerful performing artist now and in the years to come.
