JUAN ARABEL & MEMI VIETTO & VIVI POZZEBON- ARGENTINA: ‘THE LANDSCAPE THROUGH THE SONG’

Description

Juan Arabel and Memi Vietto take as a theme the landscape and the poets that are part of the popular culture of Argentine music, searching through the new values and also in the new songs of the already consacrated singers, spread and publicize the art that surrounds the place where they come from.

Juan Arabel: Composer and musical producer. The music of Juan Arabel proposes to create new sound spaces from the popular song, understanding it as a powerful artistic tool
capable of generating identity in the villages. It takes as a fundamental root the Argentine folklore, starting from there to be influenced by styles coming from
diverse artistic currents, such as Latin American music or jazz.

Memi Vietto:Singer of Argentine and Latin American popular music. She began her career 10 years ago, being part of different groups besides the duo that shares with Juan Arabel. She recently finished her first solo album, which presents a repertoire that rescues the melodic and poetic richness of the root of popular music and look for  interpret in an appropriate and authentic way to achieve the transcendence of the message as its main objective.

VIVI POZZEBON

Singer, Percussionist and Argentine Composer, Vivi Pozzebón takes forward a
powerful project, in which he makes a sound rereading of the Latin American world.
It unites sounds that go from the highlands to the jungle, from the desert to the city, from one shore to the other.
another from the Rio de la Plata, connects rhythms that result in exotic mixtures.
Tradition and avant-garde are combined in this exquisite work in which they sound like
rhythms like cuban conga, cumbia, are, reggae, huayno, hip-hop, yorubas songs,
chamamé, samba brasilera, milonga, candombe, Peruvian celebration, chacarera and cuarteto
Cordobes are mixed and re-signified in their songs, where the lyrics speak of the
life in the popular neighborhoods, urban characters, Latin America and the world;
of nature, of popular beliefs, of peace, of encounters, of diasporas,
the power of women, of love, of diversity, of the joy of rhythm and
celebration, of tributes to great figures of Latin American music.
