DescriptionTrio de musique contemporaine
Lydie Thonnard : flûte, Eugénie Defraigne : violoncelle, Léna Kollmeier : piano Eugénie, Léna and Lydie are all graduates of the “Conservatoire Royal de Musique de Liège”. As a consequence of their different personal experiences and instruments they may have different backgrounds, but they share a musical curiosity which made them find common grounds very quickly. They started to play together on the occasion of an opera project which featured instrumentalists and singers and had Maurice Ravel's The Child and the Spells at its centre. The three young musicians have also taken part in the improvisation classes given by Michel Massot, thereby exploring new sounds and a contemporary musical language. It is probably due to the experiments they made during this training that they all felt the urge to orientate themselves towards 20th century, contemporary music. Their first project as a trio was the performance of “Vox Balaenae” by George Crumb in April and June 2014. Under the supervision of François Deppe, Vincent Royer, Mia Elezovic, Olivier Vanderschaeghe, Jean-Pol Zanutel, Eric Leleux and Bart Bouckaert, the O3 trio successfully presented this enigmatic piece of music with its surprising sounds in the “Foyer Eugène Ysaye” and the cultural centre “Les Chiroux” in Liège, as well as at several venues in Brussels. https://www.lenakollmeier.com/o3 https://www.facebook.com/ensembleo3/O3 EventList powered by schlu.net |
