The Cellist Camille Seghers is born in Tournai in a musical family. Camille took her first cello lessons with her mother. She has obtained a Master degree with first class honour (1.0) at the Musikhochschule in Cologne with Claus Kanngiesser, after she obtained a Master Degree with first class honours with Didier Poskin and Edmond Baert at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, where she was awarded a “Prix Spécial du Patrimoine” for her brilliant results. She took part in classes with a.o. Frans Helmerson, Roland Pidoux, François Salque, Eric Le Sage and the Talich Quartet. She gave concert as a soloist with many Orchestras ; Ensemble Orchestral de Bruxelles, the Kurpfalzphilharmonie of Heidelberg, the Orchestra of Louvain-LaNeuve university,... Camille gave the first performance in Belgium of the Vanhal cello concerto. Her first recording around the french music for cello and piano is available : Ballabile - label" Le Chant de Linos" - january 2015. The Belgian pianist Alexis Thibaut de Maisières has studied in the St-Peterburg conservatory, named after Rimski-Korsakov. He attributes his professional education as pianist and musician to Leonid Tamulevich. Before six years of study in Russia, he has been taught by Jean-Marc Vinckenbosch. He participated to many masterclasses, from wich he especially remains Anne Quéffelec and Jacques Rouvier. In 2015 he plays with the l’Ensemble Orchestral de Bruxelles, the Young Belgian Strings and the orchestra of Togliatti Conservatory, in Russia, during an international competition in wich he was member of the jury. He records live the Chopin second concerto. His main activity is now giving concerts as soloist and chamber musician, guided by Jean-Bernard Pommier. This two musicians had found themselves and play often together the beautiful repertory of cello and piano and acclaimed by the public for their sensitive and affecting interpretations.
