Dimos Vougioukas- Accordeon

Agathonas Iakovidis sings and plays rebetiko and traditional music since
1973. In all his personal albums he presents both old and unknown songs
(relying, in large part, on his private music archives), and more popular
and well known ones. He has appeared all over Greece and gave many
personal concerts in Europe, US and Australia. Recently he competed for
Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest with the group Koza Mostra, in a
song that combines rebetiko and Balkan elements.
Dimos Vougioukas has cooperated with well known soloists in the Balkans,
such as Ionica Minune and Petar Ralchev. Moreover, he has cooperated with
performers as Agathonas Iakovidis (Rebetiko), Eleni Tsaligopoulou, Nena
Venetsanou, Babis Tsertos, Christos Tsiamoulis, Petros Gaitanos, Sofia
Papazoglou, Pantelis Thalassinos, George Ntalaras, Glykeria, Nana
Mouskouri and so on. He participates in the orchestra"Estoudiantina" of
Nea Ionia as a soloist, he redacts the orchestration and he constitutes
one of the founding members.
Manolis Porfyrakis is one of the preferred guitar players of Agathonas
Iakovidis, and he is part of his Rebetiko Trio that plays during the
winter season in Thessaloniki. Next to a perfect control of his guitar
Manolis also has a traditional rebetiko voice and he composes new rebetiko
songs.
